FAQ
Do these QR codes expire?
No. This tool encodes your exact text or URL directly into the QR pattern itself — a static, standard QR Code. Some "free" QR generators actually create a short-link on their own server and point the QR code at that, which can stop working if their trial ends or they take the redirect down. There's no redirect and no server here, so there's nothing that can expire or be taken offline.
What error correction level should I use?
L (~7% recoverable) gives you the most data capacity for a given size — fine for clean digital displays. M (~15%) is the standard default for most links and text. Q (~25%) and H (~30%) sacrifice some capacity for much better damage tolerance — use one of those if you're printing on a surface that might get scuffed, or if you plan to place a logo over part of the code.
Can I use this for a business logo, menu, or WiFi network?
Yes. Paste a URL for a menu or landing page, plain text for a vCard-style contact block, or a WiFi config string in the format WIFI:T:WPA;S:YourNetworkName;P:YourPassword;; — most phone cameras auto-detect that format and offer to join the network. If you plan to overlay a logo, pick error-correction level Q or H first so the code still scans with part of it covered.
PNG or SVG — which should I download?
SVG is a vector file: it scales to any size (a banner, a storefront window, a billboard) with zero quality loss, and is the better choice for print. PNG is a fixed-resolution raster image — pick a size before downloading — and is the simpler choice for documents, slides, or web pages.
Is there a watermark, login, or download limit?
No. No account, no watermark on the code, and no cap on how many you generate or download.
